The eighth annual Veterans Day Parade at Chaffee Crossing will be a fun-filled day for veterans and families. This year we will honor WWI veterans and their descendants as well as newly inducted members of the Arkansas Veterans Hall of Fame.  

 

Floats, trucks, cars, tractors, walkers, runners, cyclists and other creative ways of participation are welcome! Please click on the links at the top and bottom of this page to register if you plan to participate in the parade or host a Veteran Information Booth. 

 

ATTENTION PARADE PARTICIPANTS: please arrive at the corner of Roberts Blvd. and Terry St.  before 11:30 a.m.  Volunteers will provide instructions on where/how to line up.  
  

PARADE PARTICIPANTS MAY NOT THROW CANDY DURING PARADE

 


COAT DRIVE FOR VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES: 

Each year in association with the Regional Veterans Day Parade, Positive People of Fort Smith members collect food and winter clothing items to help veterans and others in need.

 

We accept:

*   Non-perishable food items

*   New or gently used coats

*   New or gently used blankets,

*   NEW ONLY Hats, Gloves, Hand Warmers, Socks

 

Please bring your donations to the designated tent by the Chaffee Barbershop Museum on parade day,

     7313 Terry St., Fort Smith

        OR

     Drop off donations at Deramus Travel, 7320 Rogers Ave., Suite 5, Fort Smith

     (across from Mercy-Fort Smith hospital).

The eighth annual Regional Veterans Day Parade and Celebration will begin at 10 a.m. Nov. 9 at the Chaffee Crossing Historic District and will attract longtime supporters and new faces via a veteran’s parade, food trucks, a children’s area, the Medals Presentation and Veterans Honors Ceremony, musical performances, vintage military vehicles, free flu shots and more.
