Plans for River Valley Sports Complex in Fort Smith to be decided by year’s end


City Administrator Carl Geffken said Friday that he expects to have a definite plan for what to do with the River Valley Sports Complex, which sits on 62 acres of city-owned land at Chaffee Crossing in east Fort Smith, by the end of this year. He is in talks with a private entity that possibly could take over the project for baseball.
