Fort Smith medical college to honor body donors through garden, park

Arkansas Colleges of Health Education announced plans to develop a healing garden and wellness park on their campus.

ACHE will soon build a healing garden and wellness park on the Barling side of their campus. Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine students perform anatomical studies on donor bodies as part of their education. While it might not seem like a beautiful ending to a life, donor relatives say it is.

Donors will be honored through the college’s Celebration Garden and Wellness Park. It’s a way to remember those who have given their bodies to science.
