Fort Smith remains steadfast in appeal decision, still hopes for RVSC success
Progress on the River Valley Sports Complex stopped many months ago, but Fort Smith officials and FCRA Board of Trustees members remain committed to the concept of it being developed for the community.
On the northeast corner of Roberts Boulevard and Taylor Avenue at Chaffee Crossing is the mess, as City Administrator Carl Geffken calls it, that is the River Valley Sports Complex. It’s been almost five years since the Fort Smith Board of Directors approved the project and more than seven since it was proposed. Now the city is trying to determine what comes next.
