Mars PetCare, a long-standing industrial neighbor in Chaffee Crosisng, has been approved for $110 million in tax bonds through the City of Fort Smith.
Mars Petcare will receive 50% off its property taxes for the next 10 years as a state-supported economic development incentive.
The site produces pet food for many popular brands, including Eukanuba, Iams, Cesar, Pedigree, Royal Canin and Temptations cat treats. It is a part of the Mars food corporate family.
