Chaffee Crossing is a vibrant, growing community that brings together entertainment, retail, outdoor recreation, residential spaces and more in the historic Fort Chaffee area of Fort Smith and Barling, Arkansas. A community within a community, Chaffee Crossing is the ideal place to live, work, learn and play, and offers unique growth opportunities for local and national developers.

Over the next three years, more than 1,500 military families from across the world will be relocating to the area for the U.S. Air Force’s Foreign Military Sales Pilot Training program which will be based at nearby Ebbing Air National Guard Base. Chaffee Crossing provides excellent career opportunities, a skilled workforce, low entry to do business, multiple residential options and a lifestyle that redefines western Arkansas.

• The Fort Chaffee Redevelopment Authority (FCRA) is a public trust that functions as an economic development entity. FCRA is not a profit-making corporation, which makes land here more affordable than urban infill and greenfield sites.
• Revenue from land sales is applied to community infrastructure and amenities, with more than $25 million already reinvested.
• Clear development guidelines help projects move efficiently from concept to construction.
• Mixed-use and mixed-land-use opportunities for residential, industrial, commercial, office, and institutional projects.
